I want to share my story with the world! I have long awaited this moment to be reunited with my family and finally this dream has come true.
So many emotions on this special day. I was finally reunited with my family after a long 21 year separation. Words cannot express how I feel but I'll try my best that I was embodying when I was reunited with my loved one in Gambela.
Being separated and living alone without my family has not been easy for me, neither has it been for them. My strength comes from my family. The are some of the strongest people I know. My mother, I don´t have enough words to describe how incredible, strong and beautiful she is. If I can be half the woman my mother is, I´ll be extremely happy. For a parent to send a child away on their own is one of the biggest sacrifices. My parents took a chance and sent me away to Canada for the opportunity to have a better life. We were apart for so many years but the bond never faded. I was always there and on this day I saw and felt the love from my family near and far. I felt the

It is now my mission to help other in similar situation who have not seen their families in years and need our organization in order to make that reunion possible. I want to use my platform to help change the lives of others.
